Edit: I just checked Mossberg's website and the weight numbers are very close. In fact some 590A1s are lighter than some 590s. Also the 590s only come in 20" but the 590A1s come in 18.5" or 20". It looks ugly, but gosh dang, that action is smooth. Crazy smooth, and it glides rearward. That action just glides rearwards and makes fast follow-up shots easy.

I’ve previously enjoyed great success with the Mossberg 500 and 835, Browning BPS, Benelli Nova and Stoeger P3500, as well.
