Our first trip to St John was our honeymoon and we did a 2 hour island tour offered through the Westin where we were staying. We had a local driver who gave us a great overview of the island. Don't get hung up on 30 vs 50- very little difference (except the cost.) The trick is to reapply often. If water splashes on it, reapply near immediately or learn the hard way.

Starfish is the most consistent option for lobster on St. John. Yes to Calabash for local fish as well as great Mediterranean dips. Dave’s Coral Bay Fresh Market has fresh fish that he vacuum packs. No fish market for now. The government has discussed a fish house in Cruz Bay across from the post office.
