While I don't know anything specifically about NC State, I do know that, just because you get into vet school, it doesn't mean you are guaranteed to get your DVM. Professors are allowed to fail students, and several per year at other vet schools are either held back to repeat a year or drop out all together. Actually read the books they make you in high school (Great Gatsby & Fahrenheit 451 continue to be two of my favorite books). The more you read, the better your vocabulary will become to be and that’ll help for the GRE.
