I gained about 15lbs on lamictal and everyone told me I was crazy... There was no way the medication could cause the weight gain! I started dieting/exercise which helped a little. I also suffer from migraines and added topamax to the lamictal. Topamax has anticonvulsant properties too. It has helped me lose all of the weight I put on taking lamictal.So, now I take both.
