My tradingview chart differs from the one on tradovate. If you connect the 2 then the data feed that you pay for on tradovate can be used on tradingview. Also if you so desire you could use tradingview to actually place trades through tradovate. Tradovate is a good trading platform. Tradovate is a good trading platform. The low margins and fees are a blessing for smaller portfolios. Order execution is also decent. The one bad thing though, during high volatility spikes, the platform will have problems with orders and fills. As I said I don't use Tradovate, but basic data in CQG data in Ninjatrader is $12 a month, and it provides the main CME instruments, among many others. Either way, you are paying for market data. I suppose similar to the way that Samsung or Apple make phones, but the don't work without a carrier connection, which have separate contracts and fees.

FCMs that specialize in retail are AMP, Ironbeam and Dorman. Give all three a ring and see which one is the best fit for you! Introducing brokers are basically middle men to the FCM and are really not necessary.Tradovate has pretty good commission structure, you can do "Active trader" or "Commission free" membership either monthly or yearly. I do the active trader, which is about $80/month and I get $0.19/contract fees. Tradovate charts are awful compared to ToS, so I end up using ToS charts and use Tradovate to place my orders and executions.If you're especially worried about disconnects, you could use Tradingview as your platform and Tradovate as your broker. Tradovate has a decent web interface that you could employ as a fallback. Re: brokers, AMP is solid and Tradovate is very good. People like Ninjatrader, but with that, you're locked into the Ninjatrader platform, I believe.

Free platform. Comparable if not cheaper commissions than AMP. For scalpers i would say tradovate is the way to go if you get the commission free trading package. Other than that the platform is pretty laggy compared to quantower , ninja trader etc, but it is a good starter platform. I’ll look into this.
Tradovate connected to tradingview is such an easy and visually appealing interface. I have a few apex accounts, PA and eval and I use this setup. Occasionally tradovate will go down or be a little buggy with connection but I’ve found that it’s worth it in long run for how easy it is to use around that plus the group trading feature in tradovate is insane

TradeStation software is much more powerful. Their desktop app only runs on Windows though. Their mobile app is good although wouldn't really ever want to be trading on a phone. Commission is higher and futures margins are significantly higher. Sounds good if you're trading at least 170 contracts/mo. I don't have any exp with them, so this is not an endorsement.
