Locate the game's executable Choose the basic presets they give you Download and install (drag and drop them inside the gshade-presets folder, inside your pso2_bin folder -replace if needed) the presets you can find here but use only the ones inside the FFXIV folderOptions. luthienrising. Everyone used gshade because it was simpler. One big thing that stands out is gshade shaders cut out the UI for you so your ability buttons don't change colors with the background.
GShade is a modded version of ReShade, so it has even more features and is more complex to use. you certainly have DirectX installed or your game wouldn't run (or OpenGL if you have a non-Metal Mac). so in this case, you'd also need to choose DirectX 9 when you install GShade to use with TS4.This uses the base shaders that come with reshade, not the custom ones that were tweaked for XIV that gshade used. Some preset makers are adapting their stuff to the base reshade architecture, while others are still relying on old gshade shaders that you now have to go looking for on the Internet.
