Frankly, it doesn't hold a candle to what I remember of Destin. That being said, it's still a beach. There isn't toxic waste or anything, and the flesh-eating bacteria thing is completely freaking overblown. It just isn't as aesthetically pleasing as some other beaches, on most days.
