Crystal was charged fully, it only uses a charge when you take damage. There's not that much content that involves you ONLY using crystal armour, and of what there is, its minimal chip damage or the damage is avoidable. 1k for top, 750 for legs and 250 for helm. 2k total for entire set seems fair.

The only other realistic alternative while going dry for bowfa is crystal bow+crystal armour. I have no idea how it compares to rcb but id imagine it is better marginally. Would have to dps calc it. Rcb is serviceable though, I was running 250-350's with it and even got masori backpack with it and similar gear.
