The .38 Special Security Sixes are rare, but there are not as many Ruger DA collectors so I don't think they will ever bring a huge premium. But, if you find a collector who needs one you might get $6-700 for it. Most buyers of the Security Sixes are shooters, and go for the .357 models.

Ruger wanted to compete in that space and introduced the Security Six in the 1970s. That one gun grew into a family of revolver models with names ending in “Six.”. The Security Six had a square butt and adjustable sights. Next came the Service Six which swapped the adjustable rear sight for a fixed rear sight cut into the top of the frame.
