I forgot that you do have to push the set twice to get activate the high idle. Mine has always been that way after startup. After it is activated, you only need one push of the set or resume. If you shut down the truck, it starts the whole series again. Grandfield, Ok. Use the cruise control. I have a 93 Volvo with a 12.7 60 series Detroit and I just use the cruise control. Just hit the resume switch and it will go to 1000 rpm. If its got cruise put the peddle to the desired rpm and hit set or as said click resume until it goes to the right rpm.
