I've been to that pavilion 100 times. Parking is always free except VIP parking. It takes longer to get in than to get out... I'm usually always out on Tryon St within 30 minutes of leaving the gate. The parking, well you can pay $30 for VIP or free just a few more feet away. Only thing bad about the place is that when the sun is going down it is murder on the band on stage.
