The P365 shoots 9mm very well. I bet in .380 it would be even better. I have both and find the Sig 380 has less recoil than the G42. I also have both the P365 9mm and Glock 43 and the same goes with the Sig P365 9mm and G43. Not a Sig fanboy. I have 6 Glock models and still not a fanboy of any brand.I am looking at my first new CCW, and I thought I would come here for opinions on the Glock 42 vs Sig p365. I’m more focused on performance over the 380 vs 9mm debate. The only other gun in the house is a 380 so that is an argument for the Glock as I would probably run the same ammunition though both.

That means the difference between the SIG P365-380 and the G42 appears to be 1.94 ounces. The difference between the 9mm P365 and the G42 is 4.04 ounces.

It seems the only significant difference between the G42 and the P365 is as you pointed out, the weight difference 11x9mm is a lot more weight than 7x380 (and a lot more fire power) and the width at the butt of the grip (which does matter to me as it pertains to concealability).I’ve shot many 380 semi auto pistols over the years and for it’s size and shoot-ability I think the Glock 42 is great. I carry mine 6+1 with two spare seven round mags. I figure 21 rounds is enough in my low threat environment.
