(As I understand it from my experience using them.) Once it returns to normal it'll start storing up health again. And Martyr Symbiosis has invuln on it so you have time to panic if you get bursted down out of nowhere. You're probably better off running efficiency and zenuric on Mesa for energy rather than trying to use something like rage or hunter adrenaline though, especially in the steel path.
