All the controls are in the right places, the grip fills the hand nicely and the little touches like an adjustable rear sight, beaver tail grip safety and super-smooth trigger elevate this gun from standard to exquisite. And then there is the idea of shooting it. Some people don't like the 10mm. I'm not one of them.
In my limited experience I think of Kimber as the Bose of the 1911 world. Good stuff but overpriced for what it actually is because they advertise more. Not saying that there is anything wrong with their guns etc... But they have to pay for that advertising somehow. One of my best shooters is a Ruger SR1911.It is awesome and I’ve caught a 10mm bug. I’ve been looking at the Kimber Super Jagare and it has the smoothest lines and fills the bill for 1911 awesomeness. But… my buds are saying I should consider the Sig Legion. I love Sigs and it is a touch less expensive, so I thought I’d ask you folks.This handgun exhibits excellent fit and finish and more than a few custom touches. The 10mm Auto isn’t a magic wand, but it is a cartridge that punches above its weight in terms of terminal performance in a relatively small package. Some people claim that there should be a 500 round break in period. I'm not going to tell you one way or the other on that issue. What I can tell you is to field strip and clean the gun before heading to the range. About two years ago I bought a 10mm Kimber Custom II GFO for my woods carry pistol. It shot well, for me, but had a terrible problem with FTFs (failure to feed). I tweaked the extractor tension down and that mostly eliminated the problem, but it still occasionally occurred. Took it to my 1911 smith.

Try the magazines that came with the gun first, then buy more if they work for you.
