The z7 is truly the first bow I have shot by Matthews that I really thought was a great bow.. The Maxxis was also an amazing shooting bow.. Mar 12, 2022 · One was a hoyt rx3 because it was a leftover and i was getting a $1500 bow for $900. That thing has a super sweet draw cycle in my opinion but i didnt shoot it against a mathews. I got an rx5 last year new, but again because i knew i was going to be able to sell it for a higher dollar amount used than any other.

Honestly i think that as an overall line all 3 companies are lacking a little bit. I think that hoyt did well with their 3 tiers of bows in pricing yet they all perform the same which is good, bowtech has a pretty small lineup but all of them seem to shoot well, mathews has a lot of variations of the same bow so their lineup looks much bigger but they don't really have a ton of bows to cover ...Mathews, Hoyt, and Elite make the highest quality bows on the market. Period. While other companies like PSE, Bear, Bowtech and so on make good products the quality, technology, materials, exc do not match those of the big 3. It was mentioned above that Mission by Mathews is of the same quality just with year old technology.

V3X 33 vs Ventum Pro 33 yielded the Mathews on top at my DL. Hoyt felt like a stiffer draw to me. I really liked the new grip and new carbon riser.
