Tried to boot a game I have played successfully before after exiting another via the L+R+down+B shortcut, and my entire NDS saves folder was deleted and replaced with the contents of /_nds/TWiLightMenu/.
i believe that is the “homebrew menu” theme, but honestly i don’t know where to find/make animated ones (i just use the space one from the link i posted) i believe it’s possible to have animated themes but it may be limited to twilight menu for the 3ds as the available themes for the DSi are sparseCountry. P.S You need to know from which region your game is. It won't work if you put (US) and it is actually (EU). Not sure if PKSM will work with a Twilight Menu save, but if you use PKHeX it should work fine. Just take the save file from the saves folder where you stored your ROM, and open it with PKHeX, edit whatever you want, and presto.In otherwords, the guide speaks for the TWiLight Menu++ install and autoboot, nothing more after that. What you could do is dump your game and its save, use cheats with nds-bootstrap running it from the SD card, then restore the save back to the cartridge.
