Staying a couple of days in Dubrovknik and then 5 days in Korcula. Our transfer options are private car (Land Rover) arrange by the hotel in Korcula or the catamaran. Seems like it will take a couple of hours either way.

Need some advice on planning a trip for four twenty-something girls around Croatia in 2 weeks or under in August. We need to do this on a budget so any advice on where to stay, what to see, what to miss and how to travel cheaply would be greatly appreciated as it is our first time heading to Croatia. Our guide in Croatia and Slovenia, Maja, was extremely knowledgeable and did a wonderful job giving us advice for times when we were on our own, informing us about the countries, and educating us about the sometimes tragic history of Yugoslavia.

Nova get consistently good ratings on this forum. I was impressed when I used them, but have also been happy with Oryx, Enterprise and Avis. Not too sure about your question about the ferry. The architectural grandeur is on a different level, though I did enjoy Vis Town. I am an annual visitor to Hvar. Replete with charm. Take the walk up to the fortress. Lovely coastal walks in either direction of the town. Honestly, both options are well worthy of 2+ day. Whichever decision you make will be a good one.
