The good: The guns I had were actually reliable, no major issues in terms feeding, ejecting/jamming. At one time I thought Kimber was the top of the food chain, I really did have pride of ownership with them!
Remove the extractor. Remove the firing pin if you want to be extra cautious. Seat a fully loaded magazine. Depress the slide stop to allow the slide to move forward at full speed.
