I have a P DUO that has many rounds through it at this time and the only major wear I have seen is on the screws and magwell which I do not believe are DLC'd.

It comes down to what you want to do, The XC is a nice range toy, you cant really compete with it in a comp though, it put you in the open class and you are up against true open guns. You can do it, you are just gonna be out gunned. The P allows you to do much more if you are into the competition side of things.

I just feel like the option to run a comp or suppressor would be nice. even though I might never do it but I do see the option for staccato to fit a threaded barrel for $650. The staccato version is saying you want a sharp/detached sound to the marked notes, but the total time allotted is as marked. That is, the actual sound may not last that long, but the performer should still allow that amount of time. That was to help with the overinsertion problem that STI's and 2011's in general had been plagued by for years. It did help but did noy completely stop that from happening.
