In response to Acadia Ray - My 2017 Acadia started showing the steering assist warning when starting the car, my check engine light was on, engine fans keep running on high and a/c stopped. I removed the negative battery connector, and reattached it as you suggested, and all is well!!!Wife's 2019 3.6 Acadia started throwing steering assist warnings, radiator fans stuck on full blast, and no coolant level readings in the car. Sounds like it's a common problem with these cars, and the thermostat and/or temp sensor needs replaced. I cannot, for the life of me, find a replacement 'thermostat housing' replacement for this vehicle.It was a $75 option if you factory ordered it. My local GMC dealer looked up the parts to order. Gm wanted $30 for the block heater and $130 for the cord and $80 for the labor to install. The cord has a thermostat in it that prevents the block heater from turning on until it's below 0 degrees F.The 2017 GMC Acadia has been known to have air conditioning problems.
