I recently shot the G30S (w/ 10rd mag) alongside a G21 and G36. It was not a prolonged range session, but sufficient for a preliminary, informed opinion. It's an interesting little hybrid. The gun recoils like a G36 due to the mass and stroke velocity of the G36 slide. I have the regular grip on my G30 and it's perfect for my big hands. Either version of the G30 are heavier and thicker than your G19. The trade compared to the G36 is that your get 10+1 rounds for a noticeable increase in bulk and weight with less felt recoil.However, the advantage of the G30S over the G30 Gen4 ends there. The XDS was the smallest and most comfortable carry but I couldn’t hit anything and the backstrap dug into the web of my hand. My G30 has been the most accurate Glock I've owned, but it is a brick. The Shield 45 is equally accurate and has been perfect through nearly 2k rounds. Both are fun to shoot and handle recoil well (the Shield surprisingly well for its size).
