It didn't have any markings on the receiver except some small lightly etched writing under the ejection port that said FG002. It was a metric and I don't know much about metrics but it had a straight comb stock , metal handguards, and a stoll FH that didn't have the slots cut all the way through.

Right on with the square corners. Aircraft don't have square corners for that very reason. I believe it was studied that one of the reasons the original flash hider banana peeled was simply because of harmonics and, the combination of the sharply machined points of the finish lines of the vent like Def90 mentioned.

The Imbels are seen as a plus in value to the gun whereas the Century made receivers significantly hurt the value. As to markings, Imbel is Imbel and the markings on them don't change the value unless you're bringing the gear logo receivers into the conversation. Gear logos wouldn't be on those L1A1 builds anyway. #2.

We tried to make a inexpensive steel mag with mixed results. The FAL mag just is more complex than a m14, ar10 or G3 due to several factors like the small but long feed lips. So when we have $20 polymer mag and a $35-40 steel mag.The 10" even less. But the muzzle blast is greater which gives the perception of more recoil. Anyway, 16" generally works fine with everything else up to snuff, but as other parts wear, in my opinion, 16" is just cutting it too close to the limits. Well-known member. Mostly shoot my newer DSA or Century built FALs but this is one of my older FALs that I still shoot, this Pacific Armament Corp rifle is built with a Imbel receiver. Modified now with a Magpul adjustable stock, DSA scope top cover base and a 4-16 power scope. A previous owner put the Krinkov style muzzle brake on it.

Simply coat the the outside of the adapter with non permanent Locktite™, place a fired 7.62x39 case inside the chamber and close the bolt. This by no means answers all your questions, but this is my opinion on the wood versus plastic debate. Plastic is easy to maintain and strong. Also it looks good on a battle rifle like an AR and its cheap. Wood is less durable, scratches more easily, cracks and swells, and is expensive.Instagram:https://instagram. lake saunders mobile home parkjoseph counting carslotus nails syracuse nynieto funerals and cremations obituaries The book that I would like to see--but has yet to be published--is something akin to what FAL FILE member Wayne Johnson wrote for the the FN-49: "The FN-49-- The last elegant old world military Rifle."
