First off it took weeks to get as they were waiting or their new, must have billet throttle tubes. Finally got the carb, looked awesome, install was very easy. It fit better than the OEM carb and we wont even compare fit to an FCR.

That upset the floats, thus flooding the bowl with more fuel. Cold weather needs more fuel to offset the oxygen density increase. I do it all the time just to make my carb bike start faster. People use the Lectron carb which I think is like the same thing. It's lower performance than the fcr but higher performance than the stock vacuum carb on S models, and you don't have to fiddle with it.
My Ride. I contacted lectron last month about fitting their WR 426 carb to my '99 400 and was told it would not fit on the 400 nor did they offer a product that would work and given that they are in the business of making money I left it at that. I bought a knock off clone KEIHIN FCR off of Amazon for $160 and have had pretty good luck.

Any mods to the DRZ400 won't make it a firebreather, but you'll definitely notice the difference with a full (not just a slip-on) aftermarket exhaust and well jetted FCR or CVK, and even the JD kitted stock BSR36. I'm not familiar with Lectron, but it seems guys either love them or hate them.The MX is just there to make the most power it physically can. It'll be thirsty but will lift the front easily. As mentioned, the suspension and sprocket setup make a big difference.
