My brother's recent passing has put of new responsibilities on me regarding my nieces and its affected my availability. My schedule has yet to be updated but my hours today clash with my new obligations. I have enough PPTO to cover the portion of the shift I need to miss but I wasn't sure if it being a key date would leave me with points ... Ppto works the same every day of the year. Key event dates are designed to punish employees who call out and do not use any ppto. Everything else is the same. If u use 8hrs u get 0 points. I know that for sure because I’ve done it. Now I don’t know if u get any if u use less than the full 8. Basically, common sense can tell you it is more than likely a key event date. Walmart's true definition of a event date is a day people will most likely call off. Since, Walmart has never proven to be an accurate company and constantly make mistakes in grammar, spelling, rule enforcement, etc., should give you great pause in believing anything ...
