Pinch detect fault litter robot 4.
Within 2 weeks I started getting false full errors, and then today it has failed due to the pinch detect fault. I've spent hours watching self repair videos, cleaned the sensors, cleared the pinch detectors, and after 2 cycles it is back to pinch default errors. They over engineered this thing to have sensitive parts exposed to corrosion.

Removed the “2 metal pins” and cleaned them - not dirty and afterwords checked the continuity between them - OK. Checked the 2 magnets - OK. Cleaned the DFI sensor. Remove the 9 screws connecting the bottom of the base to the top of the base. 1 screw at the back of the unit behind the black cat sensor foot. 3. Gently lift to separate the two halves of the base. The pieces will still be connected by a wire. Few steps: 1: Cut either the black or blue wire. 2: Get a 2k ohm resistor. (I didn't have any so I used a resistor and a potentiometer.) P.s. The litter robot sends 5v to the cat sensor and gets 0,9v back, therefore you need the 2k ohm resistor. 3: Make the pressure point where the cat sensor were placed, to a switch.Usually when an over torque fault occurs this is because the globe is taking more effort than usual to rotate. There can be a few causes for this, main one being the LR hasn't been cleaned in a while allowing enough litter to accumulate on the top of the base. This results in the globe having to rub against the litter causing excessive drag.
