The Elegance had more people at it and seemed to be more active in the evening. That could be due to the Mirage only being a year old and not selling out yet. As for better we never experienced the service or the food at the elegance or colonial but i'm sure it would be just like the Mirage.

I assume you are looking at the Colonial Club section. Cause it would also have a private beach area for Club members. Have been to the Majestic Elegance and Bavaro Princess. Both are great resorts but we are returning to the Majestic for trip #5 this winter. BP is a large resort - need a tram to get to the front lobby area most of the time.
