38 weeks pregnant 2cm dilated.

Hey ladies!! Just curious if anyone has any advice or info for me just had my 38 week check today and doc said I was 2 cm dilated!!.. my due date is November 1st.. I know everyone is different but does that mean baby could come at any time?! I know it's a slow process usually.. just kind of curious.....Others walk around at 4 cm for weeks. 1. Like. ALmama2020. I waited about 20 mins to time contractions.Am just over 38 weeks, yesterday was having fairly regular contractions for approx 5 hours. Due to being my 3rd they told me to come in. I was only just over 1cm dilated and cervix 2cm long. Midwife said I could either go home or she would admit me to the ward. I chose to go home. She thought baby would make an appearance today or tomorrow.
